So pleasantly suprised by this hole-in-wall! Came in for a superb breakfast on Saturday morning. We ordered the omelet and red curry hash - both were excellent in taste, presentation, portion, and price! We also ordered their fresh squeezed juice which was delicious. We will definitely be back!
Found through OpenTable.com , this quaint little suburban restaurant has what it takes to get my 5 star rating and a spot on my Google Guide's Reviews list. We started with the cheese empanadas and I give this two thumbs up. I got the impression this place has a strong Ecuadorian influence. Everything was superb including the simple mixed greens salad , so fresh and simply perfect. There was nothing left on our plates , not even a crumb.
The Shawarma sandwich is absolutely delicious! The side salad is delicate, refreshing, and filling. I have eaten here several times. The food is consistently tasty and the staff is always friendly at Lisbeth’s Cafe & Restaurant.
Go to Lisbeth’s! It’s great. I’ve been here for breakfast and lunch. Food is fresh and delicious. Delicious meat and vegetarian dishes. Some good basics as well as more adventurous dishes. If you haven’t been, you’re missing out.
Highly recommend the Bolon Mixto. The plantain dumplings were delish! I came in to study for a test and staff were great to stay attentive yet not interfere with my note-taking and reading. Much thanks!
I really enjoyed my visit to Lisbeth's. I ordered the gyro plate and was very happy with it. Just what I was looking for. And ordered the "Fried plantain & cheese," which was actually a fried empanada with powdered sugar sprinkled over the top. It was excellent - a perfect dessert. We arrived between lunch and dinner times, and there was no one else in the restaurant, so the staff were in the kitchen and didn't notice us for a couple minutes. Otherwise, service was cheerful and no complaints. The atmosphere is not fancy - not a first date destination.
Discovered a new favorite breakfast spot today! The Mediterranean flavors were a great change of pace, and the food presentation was great(photos do not do justice)! There are so many options on the menu that I’ll definitely be returning to try something new soon.
Came about 3pm. Was helped promptly. Food was great i tried something I have never had before and was pleasantly surprised. My husband enjoyed the Bolon mix. I had pork belly and it was out of this world so good. It is the picture with what looks like a strip of bacon and 2 meatballs.(the strip is the pork belly) If you like spicy things I suggest taking them up on there offer to try the house made hot sauce it is also really yummy.
Under-the-radar restaurant near Roseville. I tried "Lisbeth's plate", which included crispy pork belly, hominy corn (mote) red onion, tomato salsa, homemade hot sauce, and llapingacho. The llapingacho is an Ecuadorian potato pancake. It's a real standout. The homemade hot sauce was delicious and not overly spicy. The mocktail I had was apple honey flavored and it had a unique, lightly tart green apple flavor that was vivid but natural. Good service. Will come again!
A shame this hidden gem ain't getting more business!! Bring your friends! They got a very unique concept of Mediterranean & Ecuadorian food. It seemed like their store has seen better days, but the vibe is great inside! 1st time I ordered takeout, I tried their morocho (no pics), which was a delicious, sweet way to beat winter cold. 2nd time I ordered their hornado & red curry lentil soup. Both were seasoned very well, with a rich, savory flavor that felt very satisfying didn't buy any of their dessert during my 2nd visit, but their baked desserts seemed to be made with love & care. I'll need to try those next time!
